I am not saying that all kids love them, but for the majority, all kids I know do!  Also, I do not think I have ever met a kid that was not a fan of macaroni and cheese.  As soon as I saw that Pepperidge Farm had released macaroni and cheese goldfish, I was sure it could not get much better and that Broxton was going to be in heaven!!! Except, it wasn't meant to be.  He was not a fan...  He did love the cartoons on the back and the shapes, but that was about it... I thought they were okay. Have you seen them? The goldfish macaroni and cheese is available in four different flavors: Cheddar, Cheesy Pizza, Butter Parmesan and Na

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Introducing...   The "Mack Daddy"  We were sent the SNUGLI Booster Seat for review and as soon as I opened it ... I knew Broxton was going to be in heaven with it...  Besides the safety that made me love it, I knew the camo print was going to have him talking about it... Let me try and show you some of the things I am now in love with:   The seat as a whole... It has a back (which basically all friends/ family recommended)  It has 2 cup holders.  5 point harness.  It is a 2 in 1.  Meaning you can use it as a forward facing car seat 22-65 lbs.  but then you can use it as a booster seat with your cars seat belt from 40 - 110 lbs.   I love the fabric... it is made of a temperature controlled fabri

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Broxton has always been in the higher percents as far as height and weight... Saying that, we always have to look at the safety for him in cars...   ( I know all parents do, I am just referring to him being taller than most.) I was hesitant to turn him forward facing... Yes, I followed the laws... but even so, I wanted to keep him safest for as long as he could be... But when you are like 95% for height and your legs are folding facing rear, you wonder when to turn him... Then, in a blink of an eye (or so it seems) he turned 4 and we were talking about booster seats...  I started asking friends what their opinions were on the booster seats with no backs versus the ones with the backs on them... and pretty much

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Broxton enjoys watching Phineas and Ferb, when it is on....  and we all know how much he just loves the Marvel Super Heroes.   I saw that they were going to have the super heroes mixed in with Phineas and Ferb... but we were not able to watch it...  When I saw that it was going to be available on DVD, I knew that was going to make Broxton pretty excited.   As soon as he saw the cover, he had to ask to watch it... and he really seemed to enjoy it.  I just wish it would have been several shows with those characters, not just the one that was on there...  This DVD had the Marvel characters and Phineas and Ferb... but then there were a couple other Phineas and Ferb episodes, so I felt like the kids would be happy.  (A

So Many Changes... Remember When?

I hope I don't offend people with this post... But, I am totally open for any conversation on this, so I really hope to hear your opinions!   I just do not really see where this world is headed...  (I AM NOT TALKING POLITICS.) I just saw on the Nightly News that one school has banned baseball, football or any sports ball that might harm a child while at recess.    Now, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I remember having all sorts of things to play at recess. (Not just school year, but daycare centers too) We had monkey bars that looked like this... Hey, I think we even had our class picture taken on it one year.  It was METAL = HOT in GEORGIA SUMMER.  Not that safe, but loads of fun and we all made it. Image - Google Search The Merry Go Round.  Another metal one... and the best part was spinning it as fast as you could, while standing... hoping you didn't fly off.   Image - Google Search  The SEESAW.  Oh yeah buddy.. Remember jumping off

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Let me start by saying I am all about driver safety... I feel you can never be too careful, as you don't have to worry just about your driving, but you have to worry about those around you. For Christmas one year, I gave one of my stepsons a car safety kit for a gift.  I knew he was turning 16 soon and I wanted to know that I could try and help keep him as safe as possible. Hey, my parents gave me one as a gift....  It is all about the love!!! Well, I wanted to make sure we had one for us to be safe, so I was glad to have a chance to share some safety tips with you!        Tip 1:  Help your kids become safer drivers by talking openly about your expectations and rules for when they’re behind the wheel, s

I might be the first to say this... but I am sort of sad that I finally know the mom in How I Met Your Mother...  I haven't been an avid watcher, but when I do, I am always cracking up at the show.  I keep saying I want to start at season one and watch them all, but I do not know anyone that has the first couple of seasons for me to borrow.   I watched several of the episodes last year... and I have seen them this year...  Am I alone in not wanting this to be the last season? There is just something about Lily, Marshall, Robin, Ted and Barney...   The friendships and the stories... perfect for that comfort feel. If you are like me, you can look at old episodes and laugh like you are watching

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Last season of Glee brought about so many emotions and many thoughts and feelings were running for all that watched.  Having said that... I am so excited to know that I now own Season 4.  (Let's be real, I own ALL the seasons and actually, I can get the boys to watch with me...)  Glee is more than just about a high school Glee club, it is about all the life events that high school kids face... and with season 4, we also get to deal with college drama, as some of the kids have graduated, not leaving us, but allowing for a broader story-line... but also allowing for more characters to be introduced!   “Glee” The Complete Fourth Season Season Four of the exhilarating Emmy®-winning series* finds Rachel and

Well, this season is going just as great as the past, although I do hope more comedic moments start coming, I don't want to give it all away, but they need to laugh it up a bit! Anyways...  Just a few things from the show that should make you laugh:   Gotta Love Schmidt:   Also, just in case you need a few photobombing pointers:  Make sure you check out the new season of New Girl... and purchase the second season to keep the laughs coming!!!

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Broxton LOVES the Ninja Turtles.  I remember them from when I was younger, so it is fun to watch with him... My brother actually posted a picture of him in a Ninja Turtles shirt the other day, so it was a flood of memories coming back!  Well, Broxton has been enjoying the newest release (it was released October 1st)  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Ultimate Showdown.  He loves watching it, but the awesome part... this actually came with a lego comic book... talk about a big time happy smile!!!! The series stars Jason Biggs ( American Pie ) as “Leonardo,” Sean Astin ( Lord of the Rings ) as “Raphael,” Rob Paulsen ( Planet Sheen ) as “Donatello” and Greg Cipes ( Teen Titans ) as “Michelangelo.” Additional cast m
