We love popcorn here.  I think we all do, actually!   I know there has been many a nights that popcorn has been requested as a snack and I know that we go through plenty of it when the boys are here...   We normally get the plain kind and a couple years ago, the boys gave us the popcorn tin with flavored popcorn.  I could not remember the last time having popcorn like that... of course we enjoyed it... and that made me reminisce when we were sent a box of goodies from G.H. Cretors.  I was totally surprised when we opened the box. Inside the box we were treated to several different flavors: Cheese, Caramel, Caramel Nut Crunch, Kettle Corn and Chicago Mix. I made the mistake of opening the Caramel N

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I have mentioned before how I love hair care...  Maybe it is because I am a redhead and I just love my hair...  Maybe because I love when I go to a salon and they wash and style my hair...  I am not sure, but I do know, if I could afford to go and have my hair done every day, I would be all over it... It is just so relaxing for me!!! I was recently sent Shampoo and Conditioner from Philip Kingsley . Let me be honest and say first of all, I have never used Philip Kingsley, that I know of...  (Meaning, unless it was used at a salon, I have never used it, as I know I have never bought it.)  Having said that, I went online to see what I could learn.   Hold up right there...   If you want to learn a

They used to roll out new games from time to time, like one at a time ... but they  have now decided to go a different route.  Now, they will introduce several games at once, twice a year or so. Just in time for summer, they have introduced new games... Broxton saw that they had CANDY CRUSH and was so excited... But, there were like 3 summer camp parties in there, so you can imagine the amount of people... When you first walk in, you are immediately greeted with the new games. Up front and center...  I wish there was a way to take pictures of it all, but as I said, there were tons of kids there... and I don

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. When Broxton first started learning his colors, it was so hard for him to understand that you could have more than one "color"  he wanted the basic yellow as yellow.. there was no explaining to him the dark and light yellows... He finally knows that there are several shades of each color and he is quick to point out "dark green" or "light blue" now... I just wish we would have had the Pantone Color Cards when he was first learning the colors.   Pantone Color Cards were very informational.  I just wish I knew more about the names of the colors... and I would love to create a color name!!! Seriously, the box of flashcards contains 18 cards. They are thick cardstock, so you will get

Then, I worked a good amount...  met Marc, got married, had Broxton... and you see where I am at now.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE where I am at.. I am just saying I used to party a good amount...  One place that I would go...   (I would behave too, as I was normally with my parents and kid brother) Dave and Busters !!! Although, I have gone there a few times without them! Please tell me you have heard of Dave and Busters...   Well, Marc and I have mentioned needing / wanting to go there.. but we just have not had the time..  Until this past week.  I was invited to come grab lunch and check out the new games that have recently been released, so of course, we hea

Have you ever read a kids book and find yourself cracking up laughing harder than the kids?  Well, I think that is the case here...  I know that this is meant to be a kids book, but let me tell you now...  I think that this is a book that should be given to all first time parents.   It is a great laugh... but it would be great because they would already be building up their kids library without thinking about it.   Kel Gilligan's Daredevil Stunt Show by Michael Buckley is awesome.  I mean, I was cracking up...  I loved it!   Kel Gilligan is one CRAZY Daredevil, I tell you now... You open the book and prepare for it.. Just what is this kid going to do? I

One thing I loved about Broxton's class last year was that his teacher was awesome.  There were several times throughout the year where I would go and read the great books that we had been sent for review.  I really hope that I can do that this year as well...  But if not, I am pretty sure his teacher from last year will not mind me sending books for her to look at with her class... One book that I want her to see is Where Is Mama.  ( I hope I can read it to Broxton's class too, as I loved his face as we read it together at home!) Where is Mama by Yating Hung is a Pop-Up Story.   I will be honest and say at first, I was not to thrilled with it..  The first couple of pages are a bit confusing

Is It Football Season Yet?? W/W

Image
Football season is a GREAT time in our house...  I am a Georgia Bulldog... Born and Raised... Marc is a LSU Tiger...   Broxton loves both... Ha ha ha.. He can not pick one yet :) So.  Since we had another "staycation" day, we decided to drive over to Athens, Georgia to let the 12 year old check it out...  If you have never been, UGA is a BEAUTIFUL campus... But, back to our trip! We went to the Butts - Mehre Building. It is like a "Hall of Fame" or "Museum" of all things Georgia. (It is NEVER too early to start training in the team to love!)   Herschel Walker display case.  Enough said!!! Broxton checking out all of the bowl rings and watches.   This mural was above the doors going somewhere downstairs.   There was a camp of some sorts going on, so we just casually took a stroll out onto the practice field.  Of course, that meant Broxton had to show that he was going to be a future bulldog! Broxton and little Marc runnin
