A Summer To Remember, With Help from Coca Cola and WalMart

Image
What are you all doing this summer? Are you travelling?  Have family coming to visit?   Or are you just taking it easy and maybe planning a staycation? No matter what you have planned (or have already done)  Coca Cola and Wal-Mart want to be with you to make it a Summer To Remember! As you know by now, Coca Cola is a given at our house... Like knowing that we WILL have the Air Conditioner on... There will be air to breathe... and we will have coke to drink.  It is funny, if we go somewhere that doesn't offer coke (but brings us one when we order it..) We know the difference, call them out on it and then proceed to order something else... Like Sweet Tea.  :) Did you know that Coca Cola is currently selling packs that contain 28 cokes in them at Wal-Mart?  I noticed the other day, but we had already purchased coke and had plenty at home... so, I did not grab any that trip.  (We will be going back in the next day or two, as our supply is low.)  When you purch

If you are one that takes an umbrella to the beach, you need to look at the Noblo . We actually planned a beach trip, so I was excited to get to try the Noblo out.. But, things did not work out and we were not able to make it... I still wanted to tell you about the Noblo and if you are a beach person, you might even need to buy one for this summer.  Have you heard of the Noblo?  It is a nylon bag that you fill with sand.. You then attach it to the umbrella and face it towards the direction the wind is coming from.... In the picture, it looks like a leash on the umbrella. Watch their video to see how simple it is to use: Why you should buy Noblo: Manufactured in New Jersey, USA Affordable for people and families retails at $14.99 Packaged in Eatontown, NJ by CVR;  a local non-profit organization that hires mentally and physically handicapped individuals Portion of each bag sold to be donated  to USLA –  United States Lifesaving Association Invented by moms

W/ Wednesday - Summer Fun

Image
Well, it is Wednesday, so that means PICTURE time...  How have you all been enjoying your summer? We have been having a great time and I have 2 pictures to show you the fun going on....  One...  When Marc's family was in town, we went to Chattanooga.   Will post about that later...   Had a great time, but it was H.O.T. So, after the fun at Rock City, we headed over to the stairs over by the Aquarium...  Broxton needed to cool down...  Another fun thing we have been doing? Broxton got a "big boy bed." His crib converted into a "toddler bed" but we thought it was a good time (with him starting school) to get a "big boy bed" for him to sleep in now...  So, he now has an awesome twin size bed that we just love!   What was so fun about that?  Well, besides THE BED... We also had the box that the foot-board came in... Broxton turned it into a stage for him to put on a "puppet show" for us... Hope you are

Back To School Bash

Image
Okay, I have spoken about it a little, but it is getting closer and closer... I have been so lucky to have been able to be a stay at home mom to Broxton... But, we have decided to enroll him into the Preschool Program at our Church. He will only go half a day, but I think it will be great for him. He will get to be with other kids and they teach out of the Preschooler's Bible, so it is Faith based. Although I am so happy and excited, you have to know that I am a bit sad... Broxton is my only baby.  This journey has been wonderful and I know we are just actually starting it. There will be an actual "first day" when he starts real school, but come on... This is real to me! Of course, I will be taking tons of pictures... and getting all excited! We actually got a letter the other day telling us who his teacher would be... They even sent his little "school supply" list.. You know me, I wanted to tear up... but I held it in... I know when that day

Greg Kinnear , In Thin Ice Available Now

Image
I love watching a good movie and I will tell you that I do not have favorite actors, but I do have some that I like more than others...  In the case of Thin Ice, I saw that Greg Kinnear was in it and I have loved the things he has been in before... (As Good As It Gets is an AWESOME movie!) Well, I will tell you this... As soon as the movie started, I realized pretty quickly that I was not going to be a fan of his character in this one... Talk about a SHADY person...  Yep, he sure is! Long story short, Greg Kinnear is an insurance salesman that isn't the most trust worthy guy... As the movie unfolds, you learn more and more NOT to like him...   I thought the movie was a really good one and I was glad that I had the chance to watch it.  After the last few movies that I could talk Marc into watching not being that great, it really was a disappointment that he did not watch this one.  I really think he would have liked it... So you know what that means?  It means that I hope to watc

I have to tell you,  a bit ago, I got an email talking about "Krill Oil"   Okay, stop right there... Just what is Krill? Wild Kratts: Jungle Animal DVD Available Now

Image
We have never watched Wild Kratts before... But, as much as Broxton is into watching shows about animals, I thought he would be very eager to watch this...   I am not sure why, but the first time I put it on, he watched for a minute and then decided he didn't want to watch that... and so he left to go play with his toys...  You will not hear complaints from me, as I would much rather him play than watch tv anyways, so I just turned it off and we went about our day... Then, a couple days later, he asked me if I would put on Wild Kratts for him. He watched for a few minutes and then again, he was off to explore other things...  I had no clue that it was both real television mixed with animation... I thought it was just animation the whole time.  I personally thought it was pretty cool, so I am eager to see if he wants to watch it again soon!   Here is the description from the PBS Store Site: Creature teachers Chris and Martin Kratt will take families along on extraordinary anima

Comfy Shoes From Nature's Sleep #giveaway

Image
We don't walk with shoes on in our house...  As soon as you walk in the door, the shoes come off...  But, I will tell you, it is nice to wear comfy slippers when doing things around the house...  Especially when we go to my parents!  Marc normally wears his flip flops... (They don't have the no shoe rule, just at our house)  You see, my parents have hard wood floors... so it is normally cold!   When I was told I would get to review a pair of   Nature's Sleep Slippers , I automatically started looking at how comfortable they looked... I decided to go with brown (thought it would make a great gift for Marc, shhhhh)   I think they are awesome... They are so comfortable...  High quality Genuine Nature’s Sleep Next Generation Memory Foam Provides pressure relieving comfort all day long Naturally conforms to your foot in cool comfort Distributes weight to reduce pressure points and improve circulation Ideal for indoor use on multiple surfaces Attrac

Char Crust is Perfect For Grilling #giveaway

Image
If you stopped over on Wednesday, you know that my dad loves to grill. I would say that we love it, but living in an apartment, we just do not grill. We can not have a grill on our porch, so grilling out is a treat when we visit my family. A bit ago, we went to visit and I took a couple different Char Crust Dry Rub Seasonings for us to check out. We were having steak and I decided to add a bit of flavor to them. While we were enjoying our dinner, we did notice that we could not really tell that there was any extra flavor to it... So, when we went to a friends house to grill burgers, I brought along the Char Crust again... This time,  we added even MORE to see if it was a light hint or what the deal was...   Once again, none of us could taste anything, but every single one of us noticed how juicy the burgers were!  At that point, I decided that they were not "flavor boosters" but for sure were great at sealing in the juices.. Actually, we all decided on that....

Caillou's Mysteries and Adventures Available July 10

Image
If you have followed my blog for a bit, you know that Broxton just loves Caillou.  To the point that Caillou is his "brother" from time to time.. We have to watch Caillou daily and he gets excited when he sees Caillou asleep when Sprout Shows all the characters sleeping at night. We even have a Caillou doll that goes on adventures with us, so when I had the chance to add to our Caillou library, I was fast to jump aboard! The latest DVD is Caillou's Mysteries and Adventures. I wonder how they narrowed THAT down to just 12 episodes, as EVERYTHING is an adventure with Caillou.  I think that is one of the reasons I love Broxton watching this show... I feel as though Caillou gives him the desire to want to explore... It amazes me how much Broxton's mind is growing and learning every single day and wow, he can come up with adventure too! In this DVD: Caillou the Detective: Caillou searches for Gilbert when he goes missing, retraces his steps to find his missing toy c
